The payment side of healthcare is complex and nuanced. The health care payor space is saturated with fee-for-service start-up solutions competing for reimbursement. Founders need to be ready for value-based care and risk-sharing to stand out.

 

Building on my experience with government programs (Medicare and Medicaid), commercial insurers and self-funded employers, I support start-up founders navigate the payor environment. I advise to incorporate data early, so data becomes part of their organization’s DNA and ultimately turns into a competitive advantage with payors and investors. As a physician executive, I mentor founders to develop solutions that delight physicians, turning them into champions thrilled to advocate for them.
